Since every other high profile young star has had their name circulated with Fifty Shades of Grey, itâs only right that Selena Gomez, 1/2 of the youngling power couple with Justin Bieber, plays her part in talking about the E.L. James novel thatâs headed to film. Talking to MTV, Gomez  spoke on the upcoming Fifty Shades adaptation while doing press for Springbreakers and said, âI know Iâm taking risks but I donât think I could do that,â and then added âThat would be a little too much for me.â Gomez, however, did get her Fifty Shades of Blue on back in May.
Selena has her own racy film in the works, and without even having watched Springbreakers we all have something to thank her, Ashley Benson, and Vanessa Hudgens for. The former Disney princess finds herself with a role in a movie directed by Harmony Korine, who brought us the much talked about Kids back in the day. I like the way Springbreakers looks already more but there is no denying the short term mark Kids made â" there isnât anyone my age that doesnât know about it and we are talking about a small film in a much less social/news conscious era.
Even without Gomez, Fifty Shades of Grey is not lacking for fan desired candidates for the roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. The Vampire Diaries duo of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, Twilightâs own Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Miley Cyrus, Chris Evan, Chris Hemsworth, and just about everybody else that has a team or a following has their cheering section to land the role. Hell, Springbreakers has a couple other  people in it that might fit the bill (just put Hudgens in anything is what Iâm trying to say).
