Emma Watson might be considered as one of the most nicest stars in Hollywood but her fans are unfortunately in for a not-so-nice surprise. She was considered on of the most dangerous celeb searches for computer viruses. McAfee released their annual list of most dangerous celebrities online and released that searches for Emma has the highest risk of phishing out of other celebrities in 2012. However, that could be considered as good news since she is popular enough for hackers to use her name as a keyword. While this may come as a surprise, she certainly isnât the only person on the list. Selena Gomez, Jessica Biel, Halle Berry and Eva Mendes are all on the same list as Emma, according to McAfee.
I am surprised that Emma is a top search for that, but I guess a lot of people like looking her up. Hopefully Google will crack down on those sites and allow her actual fan sites along with innocent fans have access to news about her. That isnât fair to her fans or her name, even if some might say that it is a lovely honor. I think I would rather have my name not being searched by so many people if it meant my name wouldnât pull up bad websites.
How do you think Emma Watson, Selena Gomez and rest of the people on the list feel about this report? I would think that most would be upset, but you never know unless they say something about it. But so far it seems like not much can be done by them, so they avoid the topic (which I suppose is good for themselves to avoid). However, on the flip side I will say that Google can now crack down and save all of these starsâ good names from hackers at long last.
