Selena Gomez cries at Venice Film Festival: 'Our film got a standing ovation' - Examiner.com

Selena Gomez got the chance to experience a special moment at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday. The entertainer was part of the Spring Breakers cast that arrived to premiere the film at the festival and kick off the first part of publicity tour. While some might think the job is easy, stars like Selena Gomez have no idea if people will like or hate movies until critics watch it at festivals. On Thursday the entertainer revealed the cast got a standing ovation after the movie was watched and she cried.

“Tonight was one of the most amazing nights I've ever had. Our film got a standing ovation at the Venice film festival! I couldn't stop crying,” wrote Selena Gomez on her Facebook page. “Being part of such an amazing project was such a blessing.”

The first of many stops for the Spring Breakers cast, the fans will see a different, more mature side of Selena Gomez that many probably didn’t even know was possible. Labeled as a Disney Channel kid, the entertainer has shattered the barrier as a teenage actress with her new film and changed her image.

Moved by the moment it’s safe to say that the tears Selena Gomez shed were for joy as her job will change and new roles for her will come her way in the movie business.
